The cottages are located in an area 'off the beaten track' and provide a means for the local community to obtain self sufficiency. The cottages and communal buildings blend in with the landscape, using local stone and timber.
The complex is run in a socially and environmentally sustainable manner employing only local people and operating in tandem with the physical environment. Bread is made daily, organically grown food is served to the guests, waste food is fed to the animals and their manure is used on the fields. Bottles and cans are recycled, plastics and metal are collected by the scrap merchant. All non-plastic burnables are used to produce hot water, with solar panels providing the electricity for outside lighting. On arrival all guests are informed of the necessary steps they can take to ensure they have a minimal negative impact on the surrounding environment.

We invite every traveler who books a vacation via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the vacations they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same vacation can have different views!
