Getting away somewhere quiet and doing lots of walking and reading. The mountains were fantastic. I went for a retreat and this was one...Excellent. Struggling to rate this between four and five stars...I felt "reborn" yesterday.

Jacqueline’s house is the perfect place to stay and made our trip to the Atlas mountains a very special one. We loved being able to sit on the roof terrace and enjoy the wonderful views in the daytime and the amazing stars at night.

It was great... I'm really impressed with how Jacqueline has restored these properties so sympathetically, and local people were absolutely in charge. The relationship with the Berber villagers was clearly one of mutual trust and benefit.

The views in the Atlas Mountains were absolutely spectacular and the kasbah fitted perfectly into the Berber village and we were privileged to be able to have an insight into their daily lives.

Wonderful. Not the typical tourist visit. This destination enabled us to appreciate the traditions of the Berbers as well as village life. The setting was idyllic and very conducive to relaxation.

Imlil was absolutely breathtaking, everywhere you looked was stunning, the accommodation, scenery, mountains, people were all incredible. We arrived on a very cold afternoon, by evening snow was falling and by morning there was 4 inches of snow!

After a long walk each day, coming back home for a beer on the sunny terrace, to relax on the loungers and look at the awe-inspiring mountain scenery was the most memorable part.

Most memorable? Very good day walks with an excellent guide (Hassan) arranged by the riad. Other main highlight was the very friendly and welcoming management and staff, and amazing evening meals by candlelight.

Most memorable were spending the evening eating and drinking in the candlelight and then laying in bed with the log fire burning in the room and the morning spent walking in the mountains. The light was so clear and the scenery amazing.
