How this vacation makes a difference
Environment
Vegetables and fruits from our own organic farm are used for preparation of food in Pension. Rain water is collected in large cistern on our Farm. Drip irrigation system is used on our farm and flower gardens which saves water and fertilizers. Breakfast provided is organic and we buy and use other organic products whenever it is possible. For cleaning we use biowashbowl and large package of cleaning products, and ecocleaning solutions whenever possible. The rest of the food from our restaurant and organic matter from our farm is composted. There are more than 80% of saving bulbs in lights in building, we recycle paper, cardboard, glass, plastics and batteries.
Eco polices in our rooms and apartments educate guests to conserve water and electricity, garbage separation, turn off air-conditioners when leaving the room, leave only the towels that have been used in the shower in the morning. All rooms have showers and half flush toilets. Bed linen is changed weekly or on request.
We are a family Pension but we also employ local people from the village, minimum one employee per season. We are giving information to our guests about our country and local history and culture, local points of interest, natural heritage, public transport, bike trails, walk trails, sustainable local companies and products.
Community
We are buying local products as much is possible fro example: wine, meat and fish, which supports and helps our community, and cuts down transport and the pollution, and we also encourage local producers to make organic food and drinks.
