Royal Parade Apartments have been sensitively restored with impeccable detail to its intrinsic original architecture and interior layout. At the same time as the eco friendly design throughout keeps a clear reference to the past, it also nods towards other cultural influences and styles which is the hallmark of innovative global interior design in the 21st century.
Each apartment features eclectic and unique antiques and second hand pieces. individually sourced and offering the ultimate in recycling and sustainable living. From the tin dolly washing tub in the hall (which houses the recycled glass bottles) to the iron coffee table in Royale made from a recycled ship hull each apartment is totally unique.
Our historical situation opposite the Royal Pump Room Museum, the most photographed building in Harrogate is of huge significance for us. Royal Parade took its name as the principle promenade for the crowned heads of Europe who came to take the waters from the Pump Room. The photograph on the first floor landing shows the Pump Room at the height of its glory with literally hundreds of people around it. At the turn of the century over 2000 people a day came to visit the Pump Room to take the waters, when Harrogate was the leading Spa in Europe.
The Artesian Wells situated in the Valley Gardens, two minutes from the apartments, provided the geological base for the mineral waters which were deemed so efficacious to health and well being at the end of the last century and up to World War 1.
We hope to have recreated some of the historical and geological importance of Harrogate.

We are proud to be part of the Welcome to Yorkshire Campaign and were nominated in our first year as finalists in the White Rose Awards for best Self-Catering Apartments, contributing to Yorkshire being a 'must visit' destination. We carefully select all our products in the apartments. Our food all comes from Fodders which celebrates and sells the very best from Yorkshire and the Humber. This ensures that everybody who visits the apartments has the opportunity to enjoy food that is grown, reared and harvested locally. Though championing local food, we too help to inject life into the rural economy of Yorkshire.
Our bottled water is of course Harrogate Spring Water, whose head offices are only a ten minutes walk away, and which produces naturally sourced British spring water from the UK's original spa town. The company draws on over 400years of bottled water history to produce one of the finest tasting spring waters in the world. In 1551 Queen Elizabeth's Physician discovered the first well, by the 1930's Harrogate was the UK's largest exporter of bottled water.
Our welcome pack recommends local restaurants, pubs, bars, shops etc. Many of which are within a five minutes walk, including the restaurant Van Zeller, which was recently voted 79% best restaurant in England, by the public. Hales Bar is Harrogates oldest pub with original decor and lit by gas light and is a 2 minute walk away. Likewise a one minute walk away is The original Bell Tavern developed from the early 17th century alehouses which served visitors resorting to Harrogate's famous Old Sulphur Well which lies beneath the dome of the Royal Pump Room museum opposite the premises.
We are not just a place to stay for out of town visitors, local people and local companies use us for in-house entertaining for special events, like 65th birthday parties, wedding parties etc. In this way we hope to serve our local community as well as visitors from out of town.
