Devon vacation loft apartment in farmhouse, England
Memorable parts? Very pleasant time on Sidmouth and Lyme Regis seafronts (easily accessible from the farmhouse) Tips? Buy all provisions at Greendale farm shop (a short drive away, open until 8pm), which has a superb fish counter. Also a good selection of seafood in Lyme Regis, from a fish stall which was open on Easter Sunday. Local benefits? Yes Overall rating? A superb location in West Devon, i.e. some of the best that the South West has to offer while relatively... (more)Andrew Jones

The view from each window spectacular and so close to the loch that it was almost like being on a boat at times! Views changed with the stillness of the water or with the time of day and weather. Misty mountains at dawn to orange and red sunsets and each day and time different from dawn to dusk. (more)Julia Graham

Memorable parts? We were intrigued to stay in a house made of straw bales and to see how recycling/ reuse can be put into practice and good effect.- we were not disappointed! We found the photo albums showing the building of the house really interesting. Tips? If intending to take a trip by train whilst there be aware that station car park can be very busy. Local benefits? We shopped locally, and found local residents / shop staff to be very helpful and friendly. Overall... (more)C Sharkey

Klek self catering accommodation in Croatia
Memorable parts? Absolutely beautiful location. Clear warm seas and two nice beaches. The accommodation was very comfortable and really accessible to the waterfront and beach. It had three terraces two at the front upper and lower lever and one at the back which was shared with the other four houses and with a very nice garden where the children could feed the tortoises. The rear area had a larger area for eating with barbeque. The different situations of the terraces meant that you had shade... (more)Anne O'Brien

The peace and relaxation were most memorable. Even though it was Christmas we were able to sit outside the cave in the sunshine and hear only the river in the valley and the bells on the goats in the fields below. Great accommodation and wonderful location. (more)Bob Thornton
