Sarah Heaney review 25 Oct 2007
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Learning to canter and falling in love with my horse!
2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Expect great veggie food and lots of riding.
3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?
If it did benefit the locals I didn't see evidence, but that doesn't mean to say it didn't happen. Less mineral water bottles could be used. Would like to see ecological soap used when washing by/in rivers and lakes.
4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Excellent, could have done it all again.

A portion of the profits from this trip is used to fund local projects in the area that the ride takes place, and as such you have certainly helped to benefit the locals by taking this trip. We are proud to fund the community around Castle Bijaipur and contribute to a fund aiding local schools and eduction in the neighbourhood - the school obtained their first computer in December 06 as a result of our trips. We also implemented a tree planting scheme in Rajasthan to help tackle the desertification of the area. In addition, our Rajasthan horse trek employs a number of local people from the guides to stable hands and vehicle back up drivers, giving them a chance to earn a fair salary and support their families.
