Responsible tourism: Palisade cycle tours and bike hire, Colorado, USA
Cycling is a sustainable and low impact way to see the Palisade region of Colorado at your own pace. We promote cruiser bikes, road bikes, electric bikes and kid trailers; offering an environmentally friendly way of discovering this beautiful area filled with vineyards and majestic valleys to suit everyone.
Palisade has some stunning and unique local features and hot, dry days and cooler nights provide the perfect conditions for growers and winemakers. Cycling is not only environmentally responsible, it's great fun and many of the area's wineries have bike friendly tasting rooms. There area is covered by designated trails and paved areas making it easy to get from A to B and minimising the impact on the landscape. If you want to explore the Colorado River we also run paddle board rentals and lessons, providing another fun way to explore that's gentle to the environment!
Our wine tours also help to promote local produce and the benefits it brings to the environment in terms of food miles. Sampling locally made wines in Palisade's wineries eliminates the negative impact on the environment through transportation and you'll find that most wineries avoid using pesticides as the desert dryness does a great job of keeping pests away naturally!
We not only want to promote cycling and sustainability, but we also want to promote Palisade and the other people working and doing great things here too. We're located in the East end of the Grand Valley where you can enjoy a rich array of orchards, farms, vineyards, excellent wineries, breweries, distilleries, and accommodations of all sorts. Taking a wine and fruit tour allows you to get a real taste of local life here and support local businesses in doing so. As well as all of the great wineries, there are also coffee shops, cafes, fine dining and traditional grills with friendly locals who will be all too happy to ensure you're having a great stay in Palisade. Let us know what you're looking for after your ride and we'd be happy to swing some suggestions your way.
We team up with and can recommend a great company running float trips down the Colorado River, taking you through some of the landscapes most beautiful spots. It's great to see local companies offering support to one another and it also makes it easier for visitors to find out about other experiences and get the most out of their trip to Colorado!
