Traveling as part of a small group with a maximum of 14 people offers many benefits, particularly when exploring some of Indochina’s most fascinating and sensitive areas. Not limited to the big buses of the large groups we like to mix up the modes of travel included in our tours – on our Vietnam and Cambodia Uncovered tour we travel by boat, bike, cyclo, tuk tuk and on foot to explore the places other tour groups can’t reach.

At the remarkable temples of Angkor in Cambodia the number of big tour groups from across the world has increased dramatically over recent years, providing significant environmental challenges to this delicate and precious World Heritage Site. By exploring by a combination of local tuk tuk and on foot we both minimise the impact of our visit, and hugely increase the quality of the experience. While the buses queue at Angkor Thom we stroll through the little-visited East Gate, experiencing a sense of discovery and magic missed by the masses.


One of the undeniable highlights of any visit to Vietnam and Cambodia is the food. We are committed on our tours to introducing you to the very best of the delicious and varied fare on offer as you travel through the region, and we are only able to do this because of our excellent and knowledgeable tour leaders and local guides, our small group sizes and our commitment to going local and getting beneath the surface.

Our tour leaders live in the region full time, so when they’re not on tour they’re exploring the back-streets hunting down the tastiest street eats, the best local restaurants and the coolest cafes. We don’t include many fixed meals in our tours because we know people like variety, but every night you’ll be welcome to join your tour leader as they head out to one of their own favourite spots, guaranteed to be something new, exciting, and supportive of the local community. Whether it’s a lovely little restaurant in a converted colonial house in Hue or a street food stall in Hanoi, we love the places that source their ingredients from the local markets fresh every day, that cater for the locals as well as the tourist market, and who can introduce you to unique flavours and textures of each particularly region.
