Responsible tourism: Annapurna Circuit trekking vacation in Nepal

Conservation of wildlife of this region has been our top priority. We strictly stick to the concept that every single creature of the planet has some role to play in the ecosystem and that they are the integral parts of the food chain. We try and encourage our clients to use bio-degradable stuffs wherever and whenever possible. We even try to bring back as much garbage as we can. Our clients travel by foot as much as they can. Most of our vacations are done by foot. We use mules, donkeys and horses to carry loads instead of the vehicles that emit carbon monoxide. Nepal is known for its abundance in water resources. So, conservation of water tops the must-do list at all times. Culturally, in Nepal sources of water are attributed to deities and divinities. So, without a doubt, we take utmost care that we do not step over the line with their cultural sentiments and we encourage our clients to do the same. Waste of water is a big “NO” during our expeditions.

We recommend our clients local products. We believe this helps the local community in multiple ways. This increases the income of the local people. It promotes the local skills, culture and lifestyle. Similarly, it helps run the local business without a hitch. We allocate certain part of our income for the welfare of the local communities. We hire the local people when their skills and knowledge can be of some assistance to us. Most of the porters, guides and even drivers, if needed, are hired from the local places. We make sure we choose those places as our stopovers during the trip which serve local food, tea, beverages and so forth.
Once we are back from our trip we strongly urge our clients they recommend the local specialties to their friends and families. Be it local agro-products or handicrafts we hand over them to our guests as token of love. It serves more than one benefit. It keeps our guests coming back to us and it promotes the local skills worldwide. Moreover, we assist local schools and charitable trusts in raising awareness in the issues like global warming, need of education, sanitation, gender equality and so on.
