The original charter defines the purpose of the preserve "to conserve the natural beauty of the Rensselaerville Falls, Lake Myosotis, Lincoln Pond and the land around them...and to increase the general knowledge and love of nature." Providing well-defined and maintained trails ensures that visitors have the opportunity to enjoy, learn and be inspired whilst conserving and protecting the integrity of the preserve. The work we'll be doing will help the Huyck Preserve continue to offer field-based education programs and fulfill its mission.
As the UK's biggest environmental volunteering charity, our aim is to make the maximum contribution to the communities and places we work in and we always work with a local partner organisation. These are unique vacations in unique places. Working directly with the staff, volunteers and local people you'll have the chance to experience the United States in a way no other vacations can offer.
