Responsible tourism: Italy cultural tour, Romagna region
The itinerary encourages direct contact with nature with activities such as walk, trekking and bike riding - helping to keep travel carbon-emissions to a minimum. We organize a lot of excursions, for example around the Naturalistic Observatory of Valmarecchia, a fantastic spot situated inside of the Protected Oasis of the Fauna of Montebello, one of the most interesting areas from the historical and naturalistic point of view of the province of Rimini.
Another visit is inside the WWF Oasis Cà Brigida in Valmarecchia, in the Municipality of Verucchio, that stretches for 14 hectares in a diversified environment which favours the spread of much flora and fauna. The tours take place in a region that offers a large amount of wildlife, which we view in its natural habitat. We also highlight local food products and offer tasting of traditional products such as oil, flatbread, honey and cheese.
We work alongside responsible travel principles, so that on this organized tour for a small group, travelers can have a genuine look of the destination without spoiling the environment.
The aim of our project is to build close relationships with the local population whilst keeping our environmental impact to a minimum. For this tour we decided to choose only small, local businesses in order to develop local activities.
Concerning hospitality we plan to stay in locally-owned farmhouses where the gastronomic products offered are self produced and concerning the catering we find traditional wineries where you can taste some typical delicacies. We offer also a course of “Cuisine km 0” , where our travelers can be know how to made a flatbread with an organic meal, and taste some other local products.
The tour visits many little cities in addition to Rimini, giving the change to visitors to have different view of the hills and the coast and support businesses off the tourist trail. The cities are not very famous, for this reason we want to highlight them. San Leo, San Giuliano, Verucchio are just some of those we offer to visit.
