They are passionate about the environment and ensure that guest follow the simple principal of leave no trace, only footprints. Our staff monitor this area regularly to maintain paths, trail markers and remove refuse.

By traveling with us you will ensure ongoing economic benefits, alternative employment and income opportunities for local people and businesses. This itinerary includes travel through small communities and enhancement of local economy. Places such as Krasici or especially Krnovo do not have too many visitors and are remoted areas which need development. Jeep safari in Durmitor NP provides an excellent opportunity for unique interactions between the visitor and the local people. Visitors support the local people by both being a guest and through the purchase of local produce and also by paying fees to National Park.
Visitors contribute to the education of local people and stakeholders by providing a cultural exchange between guests and hosts. It can foster understanding between people, this increases the chances for people to develop mutual sympathy, tolerance and understanding and to reduce prejudices and promote the sense of global brotherhood.
Tourism also helps to raise local awareness concerning the financial value of natural and cultural sites. It can stimulate a feeling of pride in local and national heritage and interest in its conservation.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Swimming from a boat in the Blue Grotto during a cruise around the Bay of Kotor. You wouldn't be allowed to do that kind of thing during a boat trip on Windermere!
2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
As Montenegro is not (yet) in the EU, double-check the situation regarding data roaming.
If you plan to tack on Dubrovnik at the end of the vacation, as I did, consider staying two nights rather than one. That gives you more time to arrange things like a kayaking trip or just to go swimming. As none of the swimming areas in central Dubrovnik have lockers to store stuff securely your best bet (if you're on your own) is to leave all your valuables in your accommodation.
3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes to benefitting local people. Reducing environmental impact somewhat less so, mainly due to the limited public transport options in Montenegro.
4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Good in parts, but I was disappointed that I didn't manage to go kayaking on Lake Skadar. There appeared to be some misunderstanding as to when/whether the kayak would be available, not helped by the host being away in Podgorica during the day and leaving me in the care of his wife (who didn't speak English).
