This trip can be tailor made throughout the year to suit your requirements
Tailor made family vacations
What are the main benefits?
A tailor-made vacation is a unique experience designed to match exactly what you’d like to do. For the past 20 years, we’ve specialised in family adventures – so we’re perfectly placed to create a bespoke trip with mum, dad, kids, and maybe even grandparents, in mind. Our dedicated team of specialists has young families, and they’ve travelled with kids in tow – so they know what it’s like and what you’ll need to make your trip flow.
How much does it cost?
A tailor-made family trip doesn’t have to break the bank. We can help you choose the mode of transport, style of accommodation and activities in your itinerary that will perfectly match your budget. Over the years we’ve built our supplier relationships to enable us to get the best possible price for your trip, and gathered a lot of tips and tricks to create a perfectly-balanced journey. Our aim is to deliver authentic travel experiences every time.
How much support is there?
You’ll be accompanied by one of our specially-trained tour leaders during your vacation, who’s there to find that family-friendly restaurant, make the jungle come alive or show you the hidden tunnels at the temple. You’ll be met at the airport on arrival and have your leader’s and our UK office’s full support during your trip, whatever you choose to do.
We think a family tailor-made adventure is the perfect way to enjoy the world in safe hands but with your own stamp of individuality.
Responsible tourism: India family vacation, tailor made
The very ethos of our style of travel is responsible; small groups, just your family and friends, traveling on an itinerary planned by experts in close collaboration with our in-country team of locals who know the area like no others. Throughout the planning process and during the operation of your vacation steps will be taken to ensure negative impacts on the environment and cultures being visited are minimised and positives are maximised.
India is a much visited destination, and your vacation will be planned to allow you to pass through the region as considerately as possible, while maximising the experience for your family. In Ranthambore for example, your safari drive will stick to marked roads and trails, protecting the wildlife and the fragile eco-system that call the park home. You’ll travel by local transport where ever possible, particularly over the longer distances between Delhi and Agra, Bharatpur to Ranthambore and Ranthambore to Jaipur. Train travel is a fascinating way to see India, as well as being by far the most environmentally friendly option. You’ll also find your family traveling by taxis, cycle rickshaws and possibly the local metro during your trip.
Throughout your trip you will be encouraged to take steps to ensure that your journey is environmentally responsible as possible. Your group leader will be on hand to assist with the appropriate disposal of rubbish en route, recycling wherever possible. We also encourage all our travelers to use refillable water bottles rather than purchasing regular supplies of bottled water.
The sale of bottled water contributes to an enormous environmental problem around the world. In addition to the water in bottles, the production of a 1 litre plastic bottle takes 2 litres of water and 200ml of oil. Once discarded a large proportion of these end up in limited landfill or discarded in waterways and natural environments and we believe that their use should be discouraged.
We believe that responsible travel is about the attitude you take with you and the choices you make when traveling - to respect and benefit local people, their cultures, economy and the environment. For example on trips like this one through India where dress standards can be conservative we recommend that our travelers (both male and female) wear loose, lightweight clothing so as not to offend, particularly when visiting religious sites. This is especially true in the more rural Shekhawati region towards the end of your tour.
Your itinerary will be planned carefully with your family in mind. We eat at local restaurants, and your guide will be able to direct you to the best independent places to purchase souvenirs, supporting local artisans and tradespeople. To aid this, we recruit all our team on the ground (including the group leader) from the local communities that we travel through. Throughout, we stay in small, locally owned hotels reflective of the local flavour, and dependent upon the route you choose, you may spend time in heritage properties. These elements combine to not only give a fantastic insight into the country and a snap shot of day to day life, but also put valuable financial resources back into the local economy, creating jobs and supporting local businesses.
