To accommodate our visitors for this tour we use a historical property which is respecting its architectural heritage. The hotel has a combining Ottoman decor and modern comfort. It offers a very relaxing atmosphere and a variety of facilities and services that are sure to meet the needs of our guests. The hotel is named after the Turkish lover of the famous French writer Pierre Loti.
Although in the old and interesting part of Istanbul, the accommodation offers contemporary service and cleanliness and the view from the restaurant over the old city to the sea of Marmara is simply fantastic! Within walking distance from the legendary Hippodrome, Haghia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and Grand Bazaar, it will give our guests a chance to explore one of the most exciting cities in the world with its rich history.
It’s always the small things that make the big difference. Our hope is to change tourism for the long-term benefit of local people, tourists, the environment and the tourism industry in Turkey. We are honoured to be part of Tree Planting Partner of Billion Tree Campaign, United Nations Environment Program to contribute to protecting the environment through tree-planting. Campaign achieve a target of seven billion trees. It empowers ordinary people to be part of the solution.
We are an independent tour operator who solely specialise in Turkey. We limit our trash and use recycled/recyclable products. We believe all these actions will add together to change in.
Community
History and culture: The arty history of Istanbul is very affluent and goes back to the beginning of history. Most of our tours in Turkey like this one are escorted for all or part of the tour ensuring our guests get the most from the destination they visit. This is also a cultural tour included local excursions. On our cultural tours we encourage travelers to get closer to local culture & local people.
Orientation tour: Our guest will be driven through the city to discover the beauty of the city; City Walls, Golden Horn; Taksim Square and beyond. The guide will give them tips for their stay in Istanbul. They will also have shopping possibility which will give them a chance to meet local craft makers and local artisans.
Respect for local people: Respect their traditions, their beliefs, their cultural differences and their environment are essential to our principles. We work hard to ensure our groups have a positive impact on the places and people they visited.
Local Labour : Tour guides used in our tours are licensed local guides with proper national certification where demanded by law. This practice is contributing to the local economy and it ensures that our visitors learn about the region that they are visiting first hand from someone who knows the area(s) closely and provides local employment. The hotel also uses local labour that will have a positive impact on the local economy
Local economy: All of the meals will be served during this tour which are a part of tasty Turkish cuisine are also local food which come from local farmers and local markets. It supports the local economy and creates more jobs for local community.
As a responsible tour operator we provide eco friendly travel guidelines to our guest to use local services, to eat in the locally owned restaurants and use public transport where probable. It means their money straightforwardly benefits the local economy, and they will also have a far more enriching experience.
