(more)The Gambian people were probably the most memorable part of a trip which included many exciting moments including spotting amazing birds, holding snakes, watching the fiddler crabs in the mangrove swamps and seeing wild baboons. Our room was a good size, air con (we were there in August) and clean. The pool was just right too. Location is excellent - far better than being in one of the towns. Meals are eaten outside in the evenings and several (including us) suggested they modified the lighting. (more)

This accommodation is a visually beautiful Portuguese villa, traditionally furnished in Portuguese style with enormous, high-ceilinged rooms in lush, well-kept gardens. It is perfect for anybody who is happy to make their own enjoyment. (more)

Found the use of the old buildings/renovation of them fascinating, retention of old features in the rooms (we had an old oven in ours), the different levels of the garden and the fruit trees - just wonderful.
