Malaysia rainforest bungalows near Kuala Lumpur
A hike in the jungle with a local guide from the aboriginal people was the most memorable part of the vacation (more)Robert Hale
All of it was excellent...the arrival into what was the most stunning location and accommodation ,the delicious food, the staff, the hosts who were so lovely and accommodating, the whole ambiance and so much more. (more)Lara Bishop
From MYR300 - MYR1000 per accommodation per night
Angkor Wat tour
Memorable parts? First sight on Angkor Wat before sunrise, silhouetted against a dark sky. Tips? Bring sunscreen! Local benefits? We had a great local guide, but I was concerned about the impact of our big, air-conditioned bus & noisy diesel longtail boat during the trip up Tonle Sap. I'd like to know more about how money from tourism actually infiltrates the local economy. I'm concerned that tourism is creating a dependent, vassal class of native servants & merchants. From US $920 - US $1215 including domestic flights only
Short breaks to Istanbul, Turkey
Very good -- I really liked walking across the Galata Bridge & getting to see a neighborhood that was not quite as touristy as Sultanahmet. (more)Johanna Novales
Istanbul is such wonderful city, we loved all the amazing sites and having our own guide meant that we got the most out of our time. The food was really good, and we enjoyed going around the spice market collecting the ingredients we needed to cook them ourselves at home. (more)Jane Edwards
Lots of memories. Visiting the mosques and the Hagia Sophia. Sitting in the carpet shop sipping apple tea whilst the owner happily showed us endless different types of carpets (even he knew we weren't intending to buy). (more)Malcolm Watts

Istanbul vacation accommodation, Turkey
The most exciting part was just being in Istanbul...Brilliant vacation and very personable local contact. (more)Frances Smyth
Istanbul was a great place to stay, with so much to do. The accommodation was in a brilliant location to enjoy both the historic sights and going out. It has been beautifully restored and was perfect for a couple. (more)Eleanor Tomlinson
From €90 - €270 per apartment per night
Angkor Wat cycling tour
Memorable parts? Cycling through rural villages with all the children running out calling hello! Tips? If traveling with children you might want to limit the temples. Local benefits? Definitely. (more)Vanessa Morley

Angkor Wat tours, tailor made
The homestay in the Tai Leu village was the most memorable part...Excellent. (more)Jillian Woodford
Our guide, Ro, was excellent. He was entertaining, friendly, professional, very helpful and his personal input of his own experiences of life in Cambodia were very moving and helped put the sights we were seeing into context. (more)Katie Bezant
This was a genuine "once in a lifetime" experience. To travel so far to visit these temples built over 1,000 years ago was a great privilege. (more)Robin Ball
