I am reborn! Simply the best vacation I have ever been on
Some great stories to tell the grandchildren. Would recommend to a friend
Awesome, it has raised the bar for next year! (more)Tony Johnson
The whole thing was memorable! Our 6 year old and 4 year old leading "Leonidas" our donkey through the French Alps, sleeping in a beautiful yurt in an Alpine meadow, and feeling like we'd done something completely different to the typical "bucket and spade" type of vacation. (more)Alison Godfrey
The mountains, flora and fauna in an exceptionally beautiful and unspoilt part of the world, within and on the periphery of the Mercantour National Park in the French maritime Alps were most memorable. (more)Nick Lampert
Cycling at our own pace through stunning, varied countryside and finding places
that we would have missed in a car.
Be prepared for more than just undulating vineyards - there are some hills and
you should have a decent level of fitness. (However, we managed and are in our
more senior years!) The hire bikes were excellent, sturdy machines and there was
technical back-up if required. (Luckily not needed! )
Staying at comfortable,... (more)Neil Crawley
Very well organised and very enjoyable.... The scenery was beautiful, except in the Camargue, and all the villages were very French and full of atmosphere. Cycling through the Montagnettes and Alpilles was lovely. (more)Trish Price
Successfully navigating our way in and out of beautiful little towns being enthusiastically helped with directions and suggestions for great things to see and do by locals even with our absolute lack of French. (more)Jennifer Wright
We had a great family vacation - Liz and Mel were terrific hosts (more)Wendy Dickson
Excellent...one of the most memorable parts was. Lunch on a summit La Cime de Guilie at 2999m with 360 degree views encompassing Italy and France. (more)Katie Toms
The boys loved cayonning - jumping off of cayons into pools; I loved horse riding American style through the mountains - it was fantastic & Liz was a terrific guide. We also climbed up to some glacial lakes with Mel - which was an incredible experience. (more)Natalie Wiggins
The young people Sam and Rachel achieved confidence respectively in snowboarding and downhill skiing in a small quiet resort at Ancelle for the first three days...Successful as a way of satisfying all ages and giving the family precious time to be on our own without the pressures of work and university.
The most memorable part was snow shoeing on a beautiful sunny Christmas Day and completing our first Via Ferrata.
Probably the most memorable part was riding into St Emelion. The town is magnificent.
This is a fabulous sightseeing trip go enjoy. Suitable for all levels of cyclists.
Probably all three.
Great, energetic, peaceful,l wonderful scenery. We covered a lot of miles but bikes were easy to ride. Hotels we stayed in were very good, comfortable and generally good food. Highly recommend this vacation. (more)marieanna howard
Cycling up Mont Ventoux. Wow! Its tough, very tough, but worth the effort. Particularly nice to have a really fabulous hotel at the bottom to relax afterwards.
Do try to make the initial meeting with the local rep. We didn't and there were a few issues - for example some of our dinner arrangements - that it would have been better to iron out before they became issues. We were a bit disappointed that we weren't warned in advance that the meeting with the local... (more)Jane Frank
The scenery and the food.
You do need to be semi fit!
Local shops and cafes would have benefitted in the smaller, out of the way villages
4.5 stars. Only negative aspect was the hotel on the first and final night in Avignon, The Ibis, where the rooms were tiny, like being in a cabin and did make us worry about what was to follow! However, the other hotels were all fabulous but then we had to return to the Ibis... (more)Anne Morrice
A truly special experience in a little corner of the Mercantour where time seems to have stood still. We went with the flow of life at the pace of an ambling
donkey. Every detail of the trip was well thought out, and the route guidance booklet (which we carried with us all the time) was spot on. The range of
different landscapes we walked through surprised and delighted us. The effectiveness of the route marking was also great. The vacation providers team was hugely... (more)Carolyne Mason
Surviving the descent of the rapids at the Pont D'Arc without capsizing!
Leave yourself in Phil's capable hands - go 1/2 board because the hotel's fantastic and take his kit list as your Bible.
Tourist industry is important locally and local hotel benefitted.
10/10, A*, fantastic
Riding the bike and seeing Mont Saint-Michel for the first time close up.
Don't pack too much luggage.
We went to small villages and and enjoyed there hospitality, as we always cruise
on vacation this cycling hol must benefit the environment.
It was a very good vacation, the routes were good and interesting, the bikes a little heavy from what I am used to, and a couple of the hotels we thought were tired, one was... (more)John Parker
Sarlat - we just loved wandering around the medieval part of town.
Pack as light as possible, but for all temps (the caves were quite cold). If you want to visit lots of attractions, you'd need to be a very strong rider to have enough time to do this.
Almost perfect...4 1/2 stars. Just a couple of comments if you want to make this a 5 star vacation: A map of Rocamadour showing where our hotel was (as... (more)Deborah Palacios
A fantastic vacation and one I'd love to do again!...The area was beautiful and the local restaurants were very nice. The activities, in particular the white water rafting, were the most memorable part of the vacation. A great way to get out and see the area from a different perspective. (more)Donal Kelly
All the activities were special (trekking, cycling, horse riding and via ferrata). The two peaks we climbed were highlights for me. (more)Elroy Campbell
