I am reborn! Simply the best vacation I have ever been on
Some great stories to tell the grandchildren. Would recommend to a friend
The crew were marvellous, and nothing was too much trouble, with a number of elderly passengers on our cruise, all was taken in their stride. (more)Gerald Peppiatt
We were a small and delightful group. The boat was cozy and comfortable, the landscapes and cloudscapes, sublime; and the day trips and hikes, especially our visit to Iona and its sacred and ancient abbey were vitamin C for the spirit. (more)Patricia Knowles
It was outstanding, we were a group of 5 ladies and we wanted a challenge and something out our comfort zone, and we got that. We were all so proud of what we did, it was hard work, but it wouldn't have been a challenge had it not been. (more)Val Yates
The most memorable moment was traveling through the snowy wilderness with only the sound of the dogs paws and the sledge. Standing on a frozen lake (-20 degrees C) watching the northern lights and learning to understand and care for my husky team. (more)Ruth Stevens
The most memorable was anytime on the sleigh with the dogs. Excellent trip! (more)Ali Enver
We cannot recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be back. (more)Conor Gately
The vacation was brilliant from start to finish, great communication from the owners of the lodge and such friendly and helpful people on arrival and throughout the stay. We would recommend this vacation to anybody who would like a quiet and relaxing stay and enjoy the use of the Eco-cabin. (more)Daniel Holden-Jones
Most memorable was being so close to wild animals on the game drives at Elephant Plains...Fantastic! (more)Yvonne Chapman
The Drakensberg mountains and Didima camp at Cathedral Peak provided a magical start to the vacation, with stunning scenery, fantastic hiking and lovely accommodation; we could easily have stayed much longer there. (more)Barbara Sykes
Some of the best highlights were - the penguins on Boulder Beach, Cape Point on a glorious day, staying with Hazel of Hazel's Homestays, the Real City tour in PE, Amakhala Lodge. (more)David Catherall
The most memorable was seeing Blue Whales live, they are so big! Learning about the Tea industry and how best Tea is made at Amba Estate. Beautiful private waterfalls in the Hillside Country. Sigiriya Fortress / Rock and Dambulla Cave Temples. Beautiful beaches in Tangalle and Bentota. Too many!! (more)Anamaria Tudoran
Combination of nature and culture. Having a competent guide with us for all our activities as a family. (more)Jens Brümmer
The variety of eco-systems, climates, views and experiences. And the Rice & Curry! Yum! We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks in Sri Lanka. (more)Bob Treitman
My stay at the Wild Mahseer in Assam was very special. Great hospitality, beautiful lodgings and interesting environmental projects. (more)Liz Mcmanus
I have told the vacation provider that they do a great job . (more)Joel Montague
The most exciting part was not on the original programme. We asked Rajat to give us somewhat more nature and less culture. He arranged for us to spend a day and two nights in a resort on the Kabini Lake, across from the Nagarhole
National Park. On a boat safari at dusk, amidst myriad birds and beasts, we saw a male tiger emerging muddily from the river, slinking into the jungle. (more)Robin Fox
The Simeon Mountains where we were lucky enough to see 5 Ibex in one day with our wonderful interesting guide Desu ( who knew to much about the
flora & fauna of the country as he was born there!) and the Bale Mountains were we spent a very lovely afternoon walking through the forest with a guide
Hussain and saw so many animals Nyala, Reedbuck, Bushbuck and Wort hogs. (more)Kim Mahon
This part of Africa was a fascinating insight into a hugely varied country of lovely people - many leading a very hard life in good humour and without apparent religious or ethnic conflict. Their welcome was invariably friendly and helpful and an effort to make us welcome.
It was excellent. I would definitely recommend this sort of tour for a first visit. We had never had a guide or arranged tour before so it really made the difference knowing that tours had been prepaid and pick ups and cars had been pre arranged. (more)Val Bodington
Both the visit to the Cu Chi tunnels and the day on the Mekong Delta was the most memorable. (more)Emma Miller
I hesitate to write this review for selfish reasons. Why? Because this vacation is so wonderful I'd rather keep it a secret! Situated on the southern slopes of Mt Batakaru in remotest Bali, this place is a pocket of paradise, far removed from the ravages of the 21st century. Having spent a week there I did not want to leave.
Most memorable was walking through the rice-fields... It was just great.
Seeing the lava flowing at the Masaya volcano is a wow! (45 mins from Managua/Nicaragua); zip lining above the tree tops at Arenal. Watching the beautiful sunset, glass of wine in hand, at Arenal Observatory Lodge. Seeing Quetzals close up in the cloud forest. Hundreds of fireflies lighting up and dancing in front if us as the sun set. Seeing all the wonderful wildlife on offer in Costa Rica and Nicaragua.
If driving use a satnav! Driving in Costa was... (more)Martin Blow

I booked with Jith, who helped in every way he could, to make it a great trip, in particular when we had to change flights and plan. His driver, Upali, was wonderful and made sure that my time in Sri Lanka was as good as possible. He gave me lots of information about Sri Lanka, the people, history and country. (more)Karen Pedersen
It was all exciting really from the beautiful beachside hotels to the wildlife parks. At Palagama beach the food was amazing especially when I was shown their own vegetable garden and we picked fresh vegetables that were cooked as individual curries for my dinner that evening. I felt as if I had been away for at least a month - I had seen and done so much in that two weeks. (more)Susie Barrett
There were so many highlights, the Vespa food tour of Saigon, the hiking in the mountains near Sapa, the boat trip on Halong Bay, the exquisite hotel, Shinta Mani, in Siem Reap. (more)Linda Edward

The peace and tranquillity of this beautiful valley was stunning. All the staff and guides - particularly Gabo - were friendly and knowledgeable, and did their
utmost to make us feel comfortable and at home. Just fantastic, we would like to return to appreciate this special place at another time of year, probably spring or autumn. (more)Clio Whittaker

Up close and personal with the wild animals on safari
Can be cold on the morning game drives and take DEET insect repellent. Don't have too high expectations of animal sightings and then everything is a real treat.
Very eco friendly, solar power and recycling etc. All staff were locals and seemed to really enjoy their work.
Excellent. Not cheap but we didn't need to spend any extra money except for tips and... (more)Janet Gaten
All of it! It was wonderful. We all loved different activities. I enjoyed the reindeer sleigh ride and the husky sledding while my 8 year old preferred the thrill of
the snowmobile ride! The cross country skiing and snowshoeing required more skill than we expected. However, the scenery for every activity was stunning
and definitely the star.

Snorkelling with Manta Rays. You need to be a very strong swimmer to get in the sea with the Mantas as they move very quickly. You also need to be confident with your snorkelling equipment as you will need to get it on/off very quickly. The marine biologist who co-ordinated the trip is very supportive and gives you lots of advice on how to be in the water.
The Maldives is an expensive destination so you need to factor this into your vacation spending budget.... (more)Elayne Farmer
So many memorable moments... the boat trips, the snorkeling (including seeing 15-20 manta rays which was unforgettable), the komodo dragons, watching the sunset and fruit bats fly from the roof of the boat... (more)Emma Coe
The boat trip that the Eco Lodge organised to Rinca and Komodo Island was really lovely. The food was amazing (how he did that magic in a boat is beyond me) and the snorkelling was easily the best I've ever done - we saw Turtles, Rays, Scorpion Fish, beautiful coral and a whole host of gorgeous sea life.
