Everything about this trip was great, but memories of the magnificent mountain scenery I'm sure will stay with me forever.

Despite patchy weather which meant that Munro-baggers didn't get all the opportunities they would have liked, the location, the island hopping activities and above all the superb wildlife more than made up for it. (more)The most memorable parts were the glorious autumn sun on the turning leaves. Not New England, but very beautiful. And ambling along the white sandy beaches and having them to myself, more or less!

We are still missing Islay and the cottage a few weeks after returning. It is a real family home that feels lived in and comfortable. (more)The highlight was seeing dolphins play in the bow wave of the ship, followed minutes later by a Minke whale passing within metres of us
