I am reborn! Simply the best vacation I have ever been on
Some great stories to tell the grandchildren. Would recommend to a friend
Awesome, it has raised the bar for next year! (more)Tony Johnson
The whole thing was memorable! Our 6 year old and 4 year old leading "Leonidas" our donkey through the French Alps, sleeping in a beautiful yurt in an Alpine meadow, and feeling like we'd done something completely different to the typical "bucket and spade" type of vacation. (more)Alison Godfrey
The mountains, flora and fauna in an exceptionally beautiful and unspoilt part of the world, within and on the periphery of the Mercantour National Park in the French maritime Alps were most memorable. (more)Nick Lampert
The most memorable part of the track was coming down from the tussock highlands along the Heaphy River, emerging out of the forest and seeing the beaches of The Tasman Sea. (more)Allan Justus
A great experience particularly with the tour operator passing on so much information about the geography, flora, fauna and history. (more)Peter Ladd
Seeing the rare Blue Duck close up in it's natural environment was very special. I also loved being in the company of people from around the World who were passionate about the environment. (more)Wendy Grace
There were endless memorable moments: tramping along the Soderlandsleden very well-waymarked trail, through the woods; exploring the islands at Stendorren and Savo; seeing creatures we hadn't see before, such as a slow worm, an otter, a white-tailed sea eagle... (more)Bronwen Davies
We were impressed with the beauty of Sweden and how easy it was to travel around. (more)Sharon Reardon
Excellent. No complaints at all and would definitely do it again. Credit should be given to Carmen Hamdi who left nothing to chance and organised our stay with extreme professionalism. (more)Andrew and Sharon Venables
Experiencing rural Tuscany, in particular Buti and Calci.
Some parts of the walk are quite steep, be prepared for some scrambling!
Highly enjoyable. (more)Carol Quinn
Best bit: The whole time in Turkey (more)Robert Linsky
The vacation was excellent, I would even consider going on the same one again. (more)Niamh McGarry
As a first-time tour attendee, I was unsure about walking as part of a group, but I found that the whole experience totally enjoyable. The group was cohesive and fun and we learned so much about Turkey and the region. I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys walking in beautiful coastal countryside. (more)Gina Goble
A marvellous and memorable week, with a nice mix of walking, relaxation and (my weakness) eating. (more)Laurence Copeland
This vacation fulfilled my expectations in providing amazing walks off the beaten track and the opportunity to see rural places not visited by most tourists. (more)Hannah Wilson
Our guide was able to speak to everyone and we were welcomed and given fruit, honey, drinks, desserts, and wine. Our a accommodation owner gave us a tour of his orange farm and marmalade. The island, villages, and ocean were beautiful.
We have been on many walks throughout the world, however this is only our second self guided walk, but we thought it was particularly special. When you look at a map you realise that you are not that far from the plains of Bergamo and Milan, but from day 1 you step into a different world of peaceful landscapes, beautiful local villages (more)Alan Peggie
It was a fantastic vacation. I found the walks breath taking and deeply rewarding in terms of the amazing scenery and routes.
Walking was fabulous and the appetite for good local fare was a perfect, beer in hand, table spread for an evening meal to end our day...we were very well guided. (more)Hazell Penn
The most memorable part is very hard to choose: the kind welcome, the beautiful countryside and riot of almond blossom, the delicious food, the charming and relaxed interior decor, all the laughs we had...Great! I loved the place... (more)Susanne Warren
Walking among the Almond Blossom was the most memorable part of the vacation. (more)Liz Ashcroft
I took the 5 day West Coast tour with Aran and it was simply amazing! I don'the
usually go on organised tours - I usually prefer to be independent and do it in my
own - but since Tasmania has so much to offer I thought it might be a good idea to go with someone who knows the area well and make every most of my short time there!
Aran was an absolutely formidable guide from start to finish. Even before the tour started he was flexible with dates and sent me all the information... (more)Alexandra Grellet
The most exciting part was wild camping at Trial Harbour.
The tour guide is very accommodating to the traveler's needs and interests, so I would suggest building up a dialogue with him about the vacation plans.
Definitely ....the tour guide was genuinely sympathetic to the environment and took care to reduce environmental impact and also educate the traveler about the local wild life and environment.
The vacation... (more)Kathy Layton
An extraordinary vacation in a spectacular region of the Pyrenees. Lucy and Simon were perfect hosts - they have thought of everything for the comfort and well-being of their guests. As a single traveler I greatly appreciated their warm welcome. Their local knowledge of this special place gave me a real insight into the the local culture, history, geology, flora and fauna.. Delicious food and wine
freshly prepared from local suppliers was also most welcome. Their exceptional... (more)Jennifer Taylor
EXCEPTIONAL. Exceeded my expectations on so many levels. From the quality of accommodation and attention to detail with all aspects of the week . (more)Deb Mickle
Breathtaking canyon walks far exceeding my imagination. Not forgetting having the experience of a lifetime as two Lamagayers (bearded cultures
with 3metre wingspan) glided past me just a couple of metres away. Amazing.
A truly special experience in a little corner of the Mercantour where time seems to have stood still. We went with the flow of life at the pace of an ambling
donkey. Every detail of the trip was well thought out, and the route guidance booklet (which we carried with us all the time) was spot on. The range of
different landscapes we walked through surprised and delighted us. The effectiveness of the route marking was also great. The vacation providers team was hugely... (more)Carolyne Mason
It was a heavenly walking experience. A feast for the senses and easy on the feet! (more)Rosemary Cunniffe
Absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed every moment of it and will treasure all the memories we have been getting. We are already discussing when we can come back and do other trails along the coast. (more)Inger Westerlund
Wonderful vacation! More Canadians (North Americans) should know about Portugal and its walking tours. (more)Jeffrey Fish
This has to be the best walking vacation I've ever had. The walking was incredible. The landscapes were all different and all stunningly beautiful. I will never forget walking in Ordesa, Aρisclo and the Sierra de Guara. (more)Meg Whelan
I have fabulous memories of the best walking vacation I have ever had and hope to return ! (more)Jane Berrisford
Super well organised, a beautiful spot and everything at the farmhouse was perfect. Best of all the amazing area and fabulous guides (more)Lynne Arnold
Excellent...we stayed at a family run guesthouse, ate at local taverns, tried local products, used public transport and walked to get to places. We cleaned up a beach after having a picnic. Our guide in general provided useful information about the local flora and fauna, the culture, economy and environmental issues (more)Xenia Karantani
Very interesting and enjoyable. We're very pleased with the experience. The hiking was great exercise. However, I think the most memorable part will be the good company we had in Annie Antonatou, our guide and host. (more)Deborah Pearson
Walking in the high mountains seeing Chamois and Marmots.
Be prepared for really enjoyable experience.
Yes, extremely eco friendly and involved with the community.
Five stars for a friendly enjoyable vacation. (more)Robert Burton
Experiencing the real and unspoilt Spain, sampling the local food and hiking in delightful countryside. No tourists and the rustic charm of the accommodation.
If you want total tranquility, the real Spain with its delicious tapas bars and restaurants and local wine ( all at amazing value!) and totally peaceful accommodation away from it all, but near enough to walk into the village, then this is the place for you.
The walks were very enjoyable taking anything... (more)Ellen Common
Dramatic cliff top scenery with rare aromatic plants growing in the sandy soil round the paths. Watching surfers in the beautiful bays and fishermen perched precariously on the cliffs. Unspoiled countryside and forests inland. The fantastic non-light polluted night sky at one of the places we stayed; we saw the milky way and a shooting star. The warmth of the local people. Other walkers we met en route from many different countries. Very good locally produced food.
Meals... (more)Denise Anne
All the scenery was wonderful. The whole vacation felt like we were on another planet!
Go for it!
I was pleased to go with a local company employing local people. There was a good culture on the trek of limiting environmental impact
First class (more)Sarah Harris
The first two days of the Great Ocean Walk; also the Atherton tablelands stay.
Do some research into precisely what's offered on each trip - the Red Centre tour wasn't exactly what was predicted.
Yes, except for Red Centre tour, which relied a lot on Aboriginal culture and settings, but seemed to involve no indigenous people.
Very good. (more)Anne Owers
