I loved this little farm and the people who run the B&B. It was in a lovely spot by a stream...I loved my time in the area of the B&B.
(more)I hesitate to write this review for selfish reasons. Why? Because this vacation is so wonderful I'd rather keep it a secret! Situated on the southern slopes of Mt Batakaru in remotest Bali, this place is a pocket of paradise, far removed from the ravages of the 21st century. Having spent a week there I did not want to leave.
(more)The most memorable parts were being able to catch public transport to most places with a toddler; the fantastic location of the guesthouse; and the great innkeepers & their fantastic hospitality. (more)Essaouira was easily the most relaxing part of our vacation. The accommodation was a lovely place to stay for a few days and Paolo, Hakin and Naima looked after us very well.

The kindness of the staff - the peaceful location - the delicious food - the interesting history of the place- the wonderful antique furniture - the eccentric fellow travelers.... If you are after a different kind of vacation where you can both relax and have a few adventures this is it. Matt and Caroline made arrangements for us to ride, snowshoe and ski. We had never skied before and had thought that we were too old to try. However we went and took a couple of lessons and we loved it. We arrived on a very cold afternoon, by evening snow was falling and by morning there was 4 inches of snow! We enjoyed every part of our vacation. The food was exceptional and the hotel could not be faulted in any way. We had two fantastic days out with Peter Jones a local bird expert who showed us all the wonderful birds and wildlife in the area. (more)
The bedroom we chose was magic and I'll never forget going down the escarpment garden to the cliff walk at the bottom - that was brilliant. This accommodation completely excelled itself with the hamper and goodies that were provided. (more) I would love to go back and do a horse-riding trip with the countess as the best way to see Transylvania close up!...It was absolutely wonderful! Can't wait to go back!

A particular highlight was the welcome we received from Carrie and Colin. They bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we could possibly want, including maps, guide books and a lift to and from Fowey in the evening.
