(more)We were really impressed with the genuine warmth of greeting from this Bedouin based community project, the welcome tea drink, the sunset walk with more tea around a camp fire! Seeing Petra, climbing up to the Crusader's castle with just my son and feeling as if we owned the world: seeing the Milky way for the first time as we lay on a sand dune in the desert blackness while at Wadi Rum. Highlights were the hot air ballooning at sunrise, meeting the donkeys on landing to ride to the valley of the Kings & going into the tombs, all on the final day!! We did a camel safari to a dive site where we did two beautiful dives and had lunch at a Bedouin village... We had a really great time and would recommend to anyone. (more)
Most memorable were going inside the Great Pyramid, sailing down (up) the Nile in the Dahabiya, Hadeel, instead of the big diesel monsters they have for most tourists, El Tahrir square and the bazaar. The staff on the Hadeel were fabulous. (more)
Hard to judge as it was all so brilliant, but probably the felucca trip and diving in Dahab were the most memorable. The sights are amazing and the people friendly, who could ask for more on a fab vacation! Definitely the Abu Simbel Sun Miracle we were able to witness and experience was the highlight. To be able to see 3 of the 4 pharaohs light up from sun coming through, was an experience we will never forget. (more)
Most memorable? I think the Pyramids at Giza and the paintings in the tomb of Ramses I, or perhaps it was the gold mask of Tutankamun, or was it the statue of Ramses II at Memphis... it was always a jaw-dropping moment at each place we visited.

What I took away with me was the scale and depth of the warmth of the people towards us Westerners and a far better knowledge of the nature of Iranian culture. (more)
The highlight of course was swimming with wild dolphins out in a protected reef in the middle of beautiful clear blue sea. Beyond that though the location, the food, the helpfulness of the staff, the accommodation and the attention to detail were all excellent. (more)Saw everything we wanted plus more.
