Just a lovely relaxing time - bike routes well marked, flora & fauna interesting, pubs perfectly placed for provisions....Really good. Off peak, so avoided crowds. B&B accomodation was lovely - spacious, hospitable & accomodationg.
(more)This was an excellent walk of almost 100 mls over 8 days; from Lindisfarne to Hadrian's Wall. The most memorable part was completing it! (more)Most memorable was walking Hadrians Wall with a very knowledgeable guide and great company. It was easy to imagine the Romans marching up and down, defending their empire from the marauding tribes. (more)Very welcoming owners, well appointed accommodation... Our stay was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, David and Jackie.
