    Memorable parts? There were many memorable bits. Watching the turtles return to sea while the sun was rising, sledging down the dunes with my children, swimming in the Wadi's. Not sure I can choose only one. Tips? Don't try and squeeze too much into it. There are some lovely hotels and locations but we often found ourselves arriving just at or after sunset and leaving early the next morning. Local benefits?     Memorable parts? There are too many to mention but overall the trip was wonderful. We had an outstanding time and would return to Oman in a heartbeat. Tips? While we loved seeing the countryside, we dislike riding in a car for more than 2 hours at a time in the space of a day. The distances weren't that long and of course were necessary to cover in order to see the sites. Nevertheless, I'd be more discriminating on time spent in the car and ability to move around between longer... (more)Patterson Jeneva
