The trek in the Simien Mountains was truly memorable. It felt like we had the whole Mountain range, a world heritage site, to ourselves. (more)
It was excellent! The pilates teacher, equipment, chef, bedroom - everything is super top quality. The idea itself - a blend of pilates and cookery is so inspiring and from day one makes you feel completely invigorated. (more)
The smile of the Sri Lankan people was uplifting as was luxuriating in a herbal bath overlooking the Sinharaja Rainforest with lightening flashing on the horizon. Also being accompanied by two guides during our trip who were so enthusiastic, generous hearted and committed to making our vacation everything we had hoped for. Perfect - the best week's vacation we've ever had. The accommodation was very comfortable, the surroundings were idyllic, and the views breathtaking. Very peaceful and relaxing, with lovely outside eating areas, a hammock and a pool. (more)
The good memories started from our very first contact with responsible travel. They put us in touch with Mark and his wife and the wonderful chateau they live in which became our B@B for 3 nights. I felt we were visiting friends at the wineries because of Mark's relationship with the small vintners. (more)

All of our stay was wonderful although if I had to select some highlights I would say that the husky tour, seeing the Northern Lights and meeting Santa in his cottage stood out . The latter was magical and really got us into the Christmas spirit. (more)

The dugout canoe ride to the lodge was quite memorable. We saw abundant wildlife along the way including various birds, monkeys, and butterflies. (more)
