There were many memorable moments. Too few to fully list out! One destination was the Gomantong Birdnest Caves. The main cave tests all your senses. Certainly a location for the next Indiana Jones film, not for flip-flop wearing tourists!

We were of course expecting to enjoy seeing the wildlife, but our week's vacation provided much more than that. The Porini camps we stayed at were wonderful - eco-friendly, lovely setting on private conservancies, employing people from the local Massai communities. (more)

There were several highlights. The Golden Temple at Amritsar, Jairpur's Amber Fort & Palace, the backwaters of Kerala and our homestay in the Nilgiri Hills. (more)We particularly enjoyed the visit to Woodleigh Cattle Station, and with Maggie as our personal guide for three days around the Tablelands, the whole experience was hugely enriched by her knowledge of the flora and fauna and much more. Climbing up to the Tiger's Nest on our last full day in Bhutan WAS pretty great - but I think my prize goes to seeing big pink orchids growing on the side of the road - and having the leisure to go photograph them, thanks to our wonderful driver. (more)
Excellent...in every way. The most memorable parts were... Seeing the old villages and towns along our walk - meeting so many friendly and helpful people in surroundings completely different from our own. And the food - different, flavorful, every meal exquisitely presented and excellent.

We had a fantastic time. Personally, the most memorable parts of the vacation were staying with the Pewenche family who were fantastic hosts, and stargazing in the Atacama with the Lickan Antay people. This was my first experience of community based tourism and I honestly believe it is the future of traveling. Booking through Responsible travel I visited the Castril area of Andalusian Spain in April. I whished to walk and look for unusual plants of the area. My stay at was most enjoyable with excellent accommodation and food at a reasonable cost. I was pointed to the best walking areas and had a very pleasant time. Really there are no words to express how wonderful my vacation was. You have to experience it yourself to appreciate it...the most exciting part was seeing the animals on the Galapagos & swimming with the sea turtles.
