My vacation was in the Outer Hebrides – a wonderful, awe inspiring and educational 7 days. The scenery was magnificent but one the most memorable experience for me was sharing it with five others that were just as impressed with both the location and history of the area as I was. 
(more)The location itself was very quiet and peaceful, but only a short journey to the facilities of the nearest town. It was amusing to be greeted by the free range chickens each time we went out. (more)We loved the location of the straw bale cabin, right in the middle of a working farm, beautiful countryside all around. The only noises the sounds of the animals and birds. Bliss for get away from it all city dwellers. (more)We were blessed with consistently clear, sunny almost 80-degree weather. And the small towns where we stayed overnight were charming and still very rural, but with nice accommodations and pubs. We have never been on a walking vacation of this duration, and it's by far the best form of locomotion. (more)We were intrigued to stay in a house made of straw bales and to see how recycling/ reuse can be put into practice and good effect.- we were not disappointed! We found the photo albums showing the building of the house really interesting.

Most memorable was learning to self-arrest with an ice-axe - sliding head first and face down on an icy slope! (more)The highlight was seeing scotland for the first time, learning new skills, enjoying the company. The satisfaction of getting to the top of 2 munros. (more)

The surfing lesson was wonderful, the spa treatments were fantastic, relaxing and rejuvenating, the general ambience of the hotel was wonderful and the staff could not do enough to help you or make your stay relaxing and fantastic! Most memorable was how perfect the accommodation was. Clean, warm, cheery, brilliantly laid out for wheelchair users. The whirlpool bath was fab, especially when using the eco friendly toiletries supplied. Scenery wonderful, something for everyone to enjoy. (more)
Our stay was wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners, David and Jackie. From the welcoming tea and biscuits on arrival, to our departure, all was everything you could possibly wish for. (more)

(more)The shear enjoyment of walking the lovely Isle of Wight countryside and sea shore and visiting some of the islands excellent hostelries were the most memorable parts (more)Home from home accommodation with beautiful views, where our 6 and 3 year old could explore Godshill farm freely, safely and meet new friends also staying on the farm. To hear the Animals in the morning in the surrounding fields make it a special and exciting way for children to start the day.
