Recycling glass, paper, plastic and metals, clothes or used linens, batteries and ink cartridges and food waste
By understanding all developments in re-usable energy and their application within the vacation cottage
To source products from local producers and to use local businesses and fair trade products, i.e. tea/coffee/sugar
Using email and on-line booking, PCI DSS Compliant, reducing paper and ink
To advise all guests to recycle

Additional information
.The barn is only 4.5 miles from Abergavenny Train station, main line Cardiff to Crewe via Hereford.
.Using cycles this would be possible
.the nearest bus station is half a mile from the train station and the drop off point at Glangrwney.
.This is one mile from barn, by arrangement, we can pick-up or drop off guests on the first or last day of vacation.
. There is a taxi rank by the train station.
. Cycle hire can be arranged by a local company from Hay-on-Wye, Drover-Hire.
. The canal runs along the Usk valley, with the road from Govilon to Brecon, one can walk the canal, cycle in some parts, through the villages, past public houses and can also use the bus to return, or as a hop on, hop off means of transport. These details can be emailed along with a good map. The canal is flat to walk and passes through outstanding natural beauty.


In Abergavenny local butchers Rawlings and HJ Edwards sell locally produced beef, bacon, pork, lamb, cheeses and potted fair. In Crickhowell local stores support our community, buy produce locally and supply also the restaurants. The small indoor market sells goods from Wales and is locally produced.

Our hardware stores are area famous and highly recommended, Webbs of Crickhowell, Nicholls of Crickhowell. We are a foodie area, with some great places to eat. Local produce is used. The Bear, The Dragon, Angel Hotel, the Hardwick, The Walnut Tree, Hunter's Moon, Crown at Pantygelli, Gliffaes, our cafes Court Room Cafe.

The Barn supports the local towns and it is one of the attractions for guests to shop in Crickhowell, Abergavenny, Brecon, Hay or surrounding towns.
