Our time spent on Konculan Island. Great walking, Sandy beach perfect for swimming and great dinner at venue chosen by our guide Ivan.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Do everything on offer as you’ll regret it. Croatia is beautiful and the time flies.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes. Our guide Ivan was Croatian and he always took us to family run establishments. He was very aware and of nature and the environment.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

It is not leisurely so expect quite a bit of rough walking, steps and hills. But it's worth the effort! Be prepared for the heat.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Generally, yes. Local ferries and buses. All local and family run restaurants. Walking tours and visits to national park areas.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

All of it - Croatia is so clean, so cared for - the urban landscapes are breathtaking and the islands are unspoilt and so so clean as is the water everywhere - amazing coastlines.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

The only downside would be that sometimes I followed the rules about not having my towels changed but they changed them anyway so worth making that clear with reception - not the first time that has happened to me abroad.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Bring "swimming " shoes as the beaches are stony3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes , insofar as we used local hotels, restaurants and drivers.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

The walks (not strenuous) and visit to local family 'restaurant' (using traditional cooking methods) organised by the tour guide.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
This mixture of activities is a good introduction to (lovely) Croatian coast and (very busy/crowded but quite stunning) Split/Dubrovnik tourism.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Certainly good use was made of local family owned restaurants, group transport use reduces impact, two of the hotels were a little 'bland' but presumably used on cost grounds.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Just getting a glimpse of the Croatian coast with its scenery and history2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Take a strong insect repellant if you you are walking in the countryside. Be prepared that each day the guide will say where the group is going to have dinner that night and generall it will be in a tourist venue and in Summer in Croatia that is not cheap. You do not have to go with the group but of course it is more social and easier to do so.3. Sheltering under stone archways in Split amid torrential rain. Lunch up in the mountains at Lukomir in Bosnia. Walking the walls around Dubrovnik. Laurenc, our guide, took us to many places where we had excellent food2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Expect adequate hotels rather than luxury. Take a travel kettle if you want an early morning cuppa - there was no tea or coffee making facilities in any of the rooms.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Tourism is vital to Croatia as this relatively new country finds its place in the world.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
