Reviews for Burma small group tour

review 9 Dec 2015

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

There was a huge amount of memorable and exciting parts of this trip, however hot air ballooning over Bagan's ancient temples at sunrise had to be one of the most special memories.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Bring large denomination US dollars - this might seem counter intuitive for a country such as this, but you get a better exchange rate. Plus make sure the bills are all pristine; their own money is pretty ragged, but dollars need to have no creases or folds, otherwise some places reject them. Euros can be exchanged freely too, which not many guide books tell you.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Definitely benefited local people, giving more jobs through tourism.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

9/10 It's a magical country and though I want other people to be able to share this magic. I also at the same time, don't want mass tourism to ruin this country.
