1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

I took the 5 day West Coast tour with Aran and it was simply amazing! I don'the usually go on organised tours - I usually prefer to be independent and do it in my own - but since Tasmania has so much to offer I thought it might be a good idea to go with someone who knows the area well and make every most of my short time there! Aran was an absolutely formidable guide from start to finish. Even before the tour started he was flexible with dates and sent me all the information I needed to get ready for the trip. What's awesome about Aran is that is absolutely loved Tasmania and loves nature - you won't be stuck with a guide that's blazé about his tour because he's done it thousands of times, and is just going through the motions! Aran built the camps himself, takes you to certain spots because those are his favourites and even takes more photos than you do while on the trip!! What was really awesome is that he really personalises his tours - for example depending on the weather or on what the people in the group enjoy doing, he would give us a few options of things we could do and would let us decide! And all the comments on TripAdvisor about the delicious food are not overstatements, going on this tour really revolutionised my perception of what could be cooked with basic camping equipment (freshly handmade naan breads!!) - it's safe to say that you will probably eat better during these 5 days than you do at home!

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

If you love nature, want to discover the wild and rugged beauty of Tasmania with a fantastic guide/chef/botanist/photography coach, I wholeheartedly recommend going on this tour! Also, don't be afraid about the early wake up St Ives (around 6.30am)- it's the best time of day to be doing something, in the afternoon the weather often changes.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Aran took us on a Green Guardians outinget (maybe a couple for hours) where we basically collect trash close to the seashore and classify it! This is really cool because it'seems effortless (you're just was links along and occasionally picking up trash) and it helps the environment - plus all the data is sent back to scientists so that they can research why certain types of trash end up where etc...

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

5/5 - absolutely fantastic!
