1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

We had five weeks vacation, three weeks in Russia and two in Mongolia. It was a very varied trip starting in Moscow and traveling through some of the towns of the Golden Circle. We then used the train to travel to the Russian Altai, stopping at various cities enroute. We planned this part of the trip ourselves, but were met by a guide and driver for a week in the Altai. This week was fantastic. I especially enjoyed the walk to the Blue Lake.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

I would recommend a guide and driver for the Altai. Our guide and driver were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic which really added to the experience.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes it did. We stayed in local hotels and ate in local restaurants which supports the local economy.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

This was a fantastic vacation. After Russia we went to Mongolia and had two weeks guided vacation, one week in the Mongolian Altai and one week in the Gobi desert. We could not have done these trips without the support we received.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Difficult to say, but I think the quality of the guides was really exceptional. The privilege of walking around with young and knowledgeable people who are very welcoming and can answer almost any question is very memorable. A guide who took us to a bagna in which we spoke like old friends. Another guide who explained about what she liked best herself in Saint Petersburg. Et cetera.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

You may end up spending quite a lot if like us you like a full program, but if you see the work that goes into all of this and the quality of what you will get, you will see this is actually really worth the money and more.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

All guides were real Russians loving to explain their country. We visited many places we would never have found ourselves and met Russians and Karelian on the way. Twice traveling with a night train was great as well. Environmentally friendly, but even more a nice adventure in this huge country.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Excellent
