Reviews for India wildlife safari tour of Kaziranga
John and Pam Robbins review 7 Apr 2019
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
All of it. Pobitora, Manas, Orang, Nameri and Kaziranga NPs. Assam is very different to other parts of India that we have visited. Large family of elephants towards evening, mix of young and old. Diphlu River Lodge at Kaziranga. Taxi ride across Mumbai, still don't know how he got the taxi through some narrow gaps!2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Take a good camera and/or camcorder if you want pics. Use the elephant rides at Manas to see Rhino, and hand a tip to the elephant, not the mahout (the elephant knows what to do). Bansbari lodge buildings are ideally located but are leased from the government and the lodge management are unable to make changes. They cope admirably and the service is excellent and friendly in the circumstances. If visiting the Eco-camp at Nameri the weekends get a lot of day tourists on a "day out". It can get a bit noisy despite the signs asking for quiet. If you ask people to turn off their iPlayers they will, usually.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Very good to excellent.Holiday Reviews
