1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Difficult to say. It was all wonderful

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Make sure that you pack clothing for all weathers. Layers are good and a bi scarf!

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes to no1 and 3. No to no 2 as the van we travelled in was diesel powered and was fuming a bit.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Fantastic!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The flowers in Niewoudtville were spectacular as was the drive with a local farmer who shared his knowledge of the plants and the area. His farm has been in his family for 6 generations

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

I think the tour is 2 days too long - it is a long way to Garies and there were no flowers and no options for anything else to do there. The main flowers are in Nieuwodtville and the West Coast National Park

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

The local communities in the remote towns rely on the tourism revenue generated during August and September when the flowers are in bloom.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

I had a great trip, the weather was not great which meant on some days the flowers didn't open, but the guest houses were excellent as was the food. A real culinary journey into South African traditional cooking

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The people we met made our vacation! The flowers, landscapes and birds were all wonderful but it was our guide, driver and hosts who made the experience so special.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Take note of the "what to pack" guidance - you really do need sensible shoes and a good camera!

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes, very much so. The vacation provider select their partners very carefully.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

We always hesitate to give 5* across the board as many people do, though it was in the top 3 vacations we have taken in the past 40 years!
