1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

We were amazed at how well we managed to combine two vacations into one by using two of the companies you recommended. Therefore we have a highlight from each. It was so good to walk on the wall and hardly see another person except a local catching grasshoppers. From the sight seeing, it had to be the Pandas or was it meeting the ladies with the long hair in the Rice terraces ? All memories will stay with us forever.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Don't take too much luggage. We seriously had too much, which made it difficult going on train journies and we certainly had a few of these. Keep your eyes everywhere when crossing roads even on a zebra crossing. I had a tuc tuc driver run into me and bent the handle on my suitcase so it wouldn't collapse down. He didn't stop to apologise. Our guide said we should have called the police but we were on the way to the airport and didn't want to miss the plane

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

I would like to think all tourists must benefit the local people, if we are spending money on buying their goods, or staying in their homes

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

FANTASTIC, vacation of a lifetime.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

We had many memorable experiences on our trip to China. Every day produced a new experience, each different and often additional things that we had not anticipated. Clearly The Great Wall, Terracotta Warriors, Panda's, Forbidden Palace were all amazing, but for me the peace and quiet of drifting down the river on a bamboo raft at Guilon was just perfect after the frantic traveling around China.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Make sure that you have a suitcase with wheels, there is a lot of travel and easily portable luggage is essential. China is a large country and climate very different north and south so be prepared for warm or cold.Take old clothes that can be discarded as you move around, freeing up space for new purchases as you travel around. Only change I would make would to miss Shanghai, as the time could have been spent elsewhere more interestingly.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Certainly the hotels chosen seemed to generally be privately local companies. Local guides were used.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

The vacation was everything that we had hoped for. The places visited and time allocated for the visit was exactly right. Travel arrangements were very good and the people taking and meeting at airports and stations always there.
