Judith Popple review 18 Sep 2022
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
It has to be going to Machu Picchu.
2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Be prepared for the high altitudes. We took tablets but still huffed and puffed a lot! Try the coca tea!
3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Most hotels and restaurants required you to not flush paper down the toilets but apart from that there is a lot of plastic in use.
4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Overall the vacation was excellent - the local agents were good and organised pickups etc very well. The only one who was difficult to deal with was the local contact in Cusco. Very hard to get straightforward responses from her.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review and I’m happy to hear that overall you had an excellent time on your trip to Peru! I’d just like to reassure you that even if it may not have been immediately obvious, your trip did benefit local communities and efforts are being made to minimise environmental impact. All the hotels we work with have filtered water available to guests so that you can refill a water bottle instead of buying plastic. All local operators you met are actively involved in community projects, for example the operator you travelled with in Arequipa and Colca runs various projects in the remote villages of Colca including dental and medical support, recycling campaigns and reforestation projects. All of this is funded by income from tourism and has been carefully sustained over the last 2 years. Tourist visits are more important than ever now to support the work of our local operators, so many thanks again for traveling with us!
Best wishes, Heather
