1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
The scenery was stunning and the itinerary was exactly what I wanted. I enjoyed going off the beaten track and finding my way by Garmin GPS. It was really unspoilt countryside with very little traffic, and the weather was perfect for cycling - sunny but not too warm.2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
The great thing about it was that the itinerary was designed specifically for my requirements, but it took several iterations to get exactly what I wanted, so don't be afraid to ask if you'd like something to be changed. The Greek partner company was incredibly friendly and helpful.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Given that I was traveling by bike and train my carbon footprint once I arrived in Greece was quite low. I daresay staying in hotels and eating out helped the local economy in a small way.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Really enjoyable, surpassed my expectations!Carol Carveth review 25 Sep 2018
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
It's hard to pick just one thing. The rides were great, the selection of archaeological sights was exceptionally well done! My favorite bike ride was going down the mountain from Delphi, my boyfriend's was a couple of days later. Our guides were knowledgeable and fun and always made sure we had fun and customized the trip to suit our interests, frequently without us even having to ask. ("We noticed you liked swimming, so we tried to find beaches near our other rides.")2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Be vocal about your likes and dislikes, they are happy to accommodate around them. But also: probably do some hill biking before this trip. Greek's "mostly flat" is different from my midwestern US background "mostly flat." Also, bike gloves made the descents a lot easier with the flat bars, both for padding and to absorb some of the hand sweat.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
All of the hotels, restaurants, and businesses seemed to be locally owned, including the tour company. The guides at the archaeological sites were local, and our tour guides were from the Athens area. I'm not sure about reducing environmental impact, given that we were driven around for the trip.4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
We had an amazing time - top notch! Elpida planned a great trip for us and Dmitris and Costas (names potentially spelled wrong, sorry guys) were amazing to spend a week with. I HIGHLY recommend this tour.Holiday Reviews
