1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

It's hard to choose: every activity was great - extremely challenging but with great guides who helped us all to succeed. Abseiling 300 feet into the caves was fantastic and finishing the Via Ferrara was an incredible relief.......

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Go for it! It is physically challenging but geared for beginners so possible even for those of us who are not teenagers or very fit (or even brave.....). Also take at least two pairs of boots/trainers with good grips!

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes. the chalet was managed well having regard to environmental impact and the guides were all local.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Excellent!

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The activities were all superbly planned, organised and great fun. White water rafting was enjoyed by all of the family, the scenic mountain walk was enhanced by local species being pointed out for us and information on how the various rock formations occurred.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Take a good pair of walking boots, nowhere is flat! Don't park in the main part of the car park on market days.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

All trips occurred within the close vicinity of the accommodation, using local guides. The food was locally sourced (the butcher is next door), there was no evidence left anywhere of the fact that we had visited.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

We all had a thoroughly enjoyable vacation, with superb scenery, exciting activities and good company.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Our nine year old daughter tackling some rock-climbing, despite her legs trembling with fear! My partner overcoming his abseiling fears. I particularly loved our mountain walk, with spectacular views and carpets of Pyrenean irises, and I think one of the highlights for all of us was swimming in a beautiful mountain lake. I think the main advantage of a vacation like this is to be able to try out all sorts of different activities, with expert help and support, and to take you to places that it would be hard to access or discover on your own.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Go ahead and book it!

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Emma and Rob from the tour operator work closely with local guides and businesses, to lead and/or support the activities they offer. Also, I noticed that many (if not all) of the light bulbs in their chalet are low-energy ones, and much of the delicious food they offer is sourced locally (eg Pyrenean lamb, local river trout). They also recommended us to buy some locally-made cheese, direct from a local shepherd up in the mountains, which was delicious.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Very good.
