1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Sailing over the Adriatic in a catamaran - beautiful, peaceful and beautifully warm.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Probably best to book not at height of summer due to extremely hot weather (making some activities difficult) and crowds in Dubrovnik. (We had to go at that time as that was when my companion was free to go).

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Hopefully benefited local people as we were eating (at least some of the time) in local restaurants and buying items in local shop. We flew there so that would have had a detrimental effect on the environment. (We had looked into traveling by train, but the price difference between that and flying was too great: it would have been considerably dearer).

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

We found the tour operator to be an excellent company, with delightful staff. Location was beautiful and peaceful. Food provided was excellent. Some aspects exceeded our expectations: our billet (I think we were exceptionally lucky with this), and the excursions in speed boat and catamaran were a delightful bonus. For me, who is slightly nervous in water, a little bit of coaching before setting off in the kayak might have helped my confidence - but I/we managed... Overall, an excellent vacation. Thank you Responsible Travel and thank you to the tour operator.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The whole vacation was great with the guide being informative, helpful and always polite, going out of his way to ensure everyone in the group was happy

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Have a go! Our kids (12 and 14) surprised themselves every day with what they could do.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

The village we stayed in was beautiful and staying with local families does make a huge impact on their lives as earning a livelihood is difficult in this area of Croatia especially as many of the old industries which existed before the war do not provide employment anymore.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

Brilliant! Great value for money, no pushy sales person locally and wonderful, quiet nature

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The last day was amazing - sea-kayaking around the island of Kolocep with an amazing lunch at local fish restaurant followed by the sunset sailing trip

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Make sure you bring enough cash as there are no cash points on the island where you stay. The travel advice given by the vacation provider was very detailed so there were no surprises really.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes. We visited an elderly couple who ran a farm with olive trees, goats and chickens. We paid to have lunch there which was delicious and almost entirely from their own produce. Our guide gave the money directly to the couple and this allows them to supplement their income. Our guide was very aware of environmental issues and we did discuss local environmental issues such as recycling, litter.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

The vacation was amazing - only 8 in our group - 2 families of 4 , we both had teenagers so it was all very well matched, Our guide allowed us to make changes to the itinerary. We all chose not to do the day trips to Dubrovnik or the optional day as the Island we stayed on was so beautiful and we had the use of kayaks , SUP and bikes there. We did extra bike ride and extra hike and our guide also arranged a fishing trip for us. I could not be better. The vacation providers were very professional to deal with. The price of local restaurants also meant the trip was really good value as eating at restuarants was expensive. The food provided was really good too.
