1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Loved seeing both cities, and both sides of Iguazu Falls, which are spectacular, but our most memorable part was definitely the boat ride into the falls on the Argentina side! This was offered to us as an add-on when our driver dropped us off at our Argentina Iguazu lodging facility. So glad we did, it was a blast! Seeing the falls from both countries really offers different views and perspectives, and both are worth seeing, but only the Argentina side offers the boat ride into two waterfalls, including the San Martin very powerful one!

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Chimu had arranged all the transportation between airports and hotels, which was very convenient. They also booked the city tours and hotels. You aren't with the same group of people throughout the trip, or with a single guide that accompanies you along the way. That's ok though, you get to meet various local guides and you get to meet different people each day on the various tours, which is interesting. You don't develop deep friendships as you would in a group tour where you're all together for a week or two at a time, but you're still often sharing tours with like-minded travelers.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Well, I'm assuming the local people benefited from the tourism business as many locals were employed as guides, hotel staff, drivers, etc. Taking a small van for tours over individual cars or a large bus was probably better on gas and produced less pollution. Not sure about conservation on this trip. Prior to this, we'd been in Antarctica and Patagonia and it was definitely stressed there, and woven into many aspects of the experience.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

This was a carefree and convenient way to see two major cities and the beautiful Iguazu Falls. No worries about booking flights for the middle of the trip, arranging transportation and tours, or booking hotels. It was a load off our minds to have that all done for us. My only recommendation is to to seek a better hotel in Buenos Aires. The Deco was pretty tired and in need of some thorough remodeling/redecorating. The other lodging in Iguazu and Rio were great. One more suggestion is to make sure that after your stay on one side of the falls, that you go to the other side with your luggage, and go on from there so you don't have to go back and forth across the border to retrieve luggage before flying out the second day. If you have time to kill in the Brazil side while waiting for a flight, I highly suggest The Bird Park. There are large lockers there for luggage and it's a beautiful park full of many Amazon species of birds and butterflies. We appreciate the hotel receptionist and local guides for that recommendation. Rio was a blast too. We had no issues with crime on the beach, but were watchful. It's a beautiful city to see from the tops of the mountains and the sand of the beach.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

All of it! Buenos Aires is a beautiful city. La Boca was very colourful and interesting. The Argentinian side of the Falls is spectacular. Absolutely loved Rio. The highlight would have to be seeing Christ the Redeemer.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

Bring a mac/umbrella for your visit to the Falls as you could get wet.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

By visiting these countries and spending money we are benefiting local people.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

This was an excellent vacation, very well organised and planned. Excellent support and service throughout the trip.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

The whole trip will be memorable. I best liked my hotel accommodation in Paratty and Iquazu falls were amazing - its worth doing both sides visit. Language in Brazil is Portuguese very little spoken English. Across to Argentina everybody speaks English plus Spanish/ Portuguese.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

To watch out in Rio de Janeiro on the beaches - dont wear any jewellery or cash or anything valuable !! Using the public transport is also very good and easy across Brazil make sure you have small change for the bus fare. In Iquazu Argentina all payments for tours are required in cash no cards accepted, USD dollar is in favour but in the shops/restaurants cards are OK.

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Not sure.

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

I have had a great time and will be looking to visit South America again.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?

Iguazu was definitely one of the most exciting parts, although it was amazing in general.

2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?

It would have been nice to know when taking the Grand boat trip at the Iguazu Falls that you're going to be wet all over. Nobody told us and we didn't have any changing clothes or at least swim suits with us. So the rest of the tour we had to proceed in wet clothes which made it a little awkard. Also if you go to Paraty: prepare yourself for mosquitos!!!

3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?

Yes

4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?

It really was amazing, thank you very much!!!!
