1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
My son and I climbed two mountains respectively in Kenya and Tanzania. The Mt Kenya climb was organised by Kenya Treks and the Mt Kilimanjaro one by Kandoo, both organisations were very professional in all aspects of the climbs. The most existing part of the trips was to see how each teams was proud to show their mountain, also I was extremely touched by Kandoo team who made sure that my son would have a birthday cake at over 4000 meters altitude, that was very special! John our Kenyan guide for Mt Kenya went up and down the trails picking up trash left by hikers and porters, on an average he picked 2 full bag a day! We were very impressed by this dedication to the mountain and we became trash spotters for him! Great time all around!2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Make sure you book with a reputable company and listen to your team advises.3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
We felt that our team was a happy team, talking and joking late at night and early in the morning, we had a great time with them!4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
