Carbon reduction

Your vacation will help support local people and conservation. We must also reduce CO2. Learn about the CO2 emissions of this vacation and how to reduce them.

Environment

A traveler experiences what he sees on his journey but a tourist only sees what he is shown. We believe that we are a company not for tourists but one for travelers. Being a country that thrives on its past, our guests are taken on a journey where they can explore and discover India in her true form. This tour is not about just views and places but more importantly about people, interactions and experiences, every bit of this tour is about people, interactions and experiences to carry back. The guests also get to see the unorthodox richness of these very simple people and their way of life. As the traveling is on cycles most of the way, it enables you to take in the surroundings without damaging the environment.

We encourage our clients to follow environmental and friendly practices of water conservation, waste disposal and recycling. Efforts are being made to generate awareness among people to realize the potential of tourism as a sustainable source of income. Our strict policy of Leave No Trace helps protect the environment and is an example to the locals by removing all waste from place to place.

Community

All accommodations are locally owned and managed heritage hotels and Palaces, built in traditional methods using locally available materials and local expertise. Tourism in India is an alternative source of income for many of the locals who work as guides, drivers, street vendors/performers etc. They come from the indigenous tribal populations that have been stressed due to loss of traditional means of livelihood. Tours like this ploughs back money into their hands and is eagerly awaited by them to enhance their resources for livelihood. Apart from this, they also find happiness in sharing with the people their culture and lifestyle. Our guests are given the opportunity to interact with the local community by including visits to villages and other rural parts of India.

When we think of responsible tourism for this tour, the focus is on respecting the culture and tradition of a foreign country and its people. We not only hope to bring in awareness about Responsible Tourism, but also a sense of a responsibility for the travelers themselves in their means of travel and interaction with nature and the community.
