Description of Best of Peru tailor made vacation
This trip can be tailor made throughout the year to suit your requirements
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
PlanetAs a company: We strive to operate as a paperless company as far as possible, and recycle wherever facilities are available. We use toxic-free fair trade products whenever we can.
Our clientsí requirements are of primary importance to us at all times, as we know that our growth and success depend on their continued support. Having travelled extensively ourselves and witnessed first-hand how tourism can have either positive or negative effects on local communities; we vowed to always endeavor to leave a positive mark on all places we visit and send clients.
On the road: Many of the resorts and operators we work with offer our clients free drinking water refills to minimise wastage of plastic bottles through out the trips; and ask clients if they want items laundered before simply washing towels and linens unnecessarily, to conserve water.
Where possible we select hotels that are locally owned and that pay particular attention to their impact on the environment.
PeoplePeru is a very popular tourist destination, and as such itís even more important to ensure that we act responsibly to preserve the countryís treasures and to minimise our impact on the various local communities. The cost on the community can be very high if tourists do not respect and adhere to the communities beliefs and rulings.
We encourage interaction with local communities, however we keep our group sizes small and provide advice during the trip to ensure our impact on the indigenous way of live is minimised. For example, when visiting Lake Titicaca we enjoy lunch with the local community of Taquile to give our customers a truly immersive experience as well as support the livelihood of the local community.
We also visit the La Raya Ranch with their herds of vicunas and llamas on the way to Cusco.
When visiting Machu Picchu, youíll be accompanied by a local guide who is knowledgeable about not only the local culture and history of the area, but also of the flora and fauna around the sanctuary. The guide will ensure that the group understand all the doís and doníts while visiting Machu Picchu.
