Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

Through your work you will be helping the injured and sick street animals of Udaipur, helping to feed, clean and care for them.Environmental responsibility – while our volunteers and customers are overseas, we identify and encourage simple steps to minimise their impact on the local environment.
Social responsibility - before volunteers depart we provide them with a detailed information pack on the area they will be visiting. On arrival we provide cultural introductions. We try to educate and encourage our volunteers to understand and respect the local cultures and customs and get involved with local communities.
Economic responsibility – for over 10 years we have been providing volunteers to help at charitable projects around the world. A UK charity has now been launched to build on this success by providing financial assistance to overseas causes as well. The organisations we work with are often struggling to fund the work they are doing so every penny raised makes a real difference.
Volunteers are accommodated in simple shared accommodation with low environmental impact. While our volunteers and customers are overseas, we identify and encourage simple steps to minimise their impact on the local environment.
People
The center allows a range of animals including dogs, cows and donkeys who have been rescued off the streets of Udaipur. The project offers a sanctuary for these animals, many of whom have been abused, neglected ill or injured. In addition to this, the center also works hard to educate the local community on animal welfare and inspire them to protect the lives of all animals. We are committed to working to improve the conditions for the animals in the local environment.
The rescue center in Udaipur employees many members of the local community to help with the daily running of the rescue center. This increases the local families incomes as without employment from the center they would need to relie on the unpredictable local agricultural crops. The center provides employment opportunities for local disabled people who find it hard to be employed within other industries in the area.
The center runs a rescue team who helps to rescue animals who may be trapped or have injuries and brings them to center to recover and answers daily calls from the local community for help. Once the rescued animals have returned to their full strength they are neutered and returned to the community were they found. Neutering helps to control the local population of animals which limits the conflicts between the community and the street animals.
