Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your vacation will help support conservation and local people.

Exploring the Sacred Valley and staying in accommodation that compliments the beautiful landscape of the area without damaging the wonderful cultural heritage of one of Peru’s most popular areas.
Our local partner in Peru also shares the same values as us in terms of using as little energy in the office and also recycling. We both use minimal paper in our offices and have all paper used recycled, including the documentation provided on arrival to Peru. This documentation covers a range of topics such as wildlife and fauna, how to prevent destruction through sensible buying of local artifacts made of rare wood and not posing for photos with wildlife and interfering with it's nature habitat. Also included is a 'Keeping it Beautiful' section which reminds and encourages our customers to not litter, leaving rocks and plants where they are and trying to set a good example for other tourists and locals alike.
The Impacts of this Trip
Our local partners actively participate in donation campaigns to send clothes or foodstuff to different provinces in the country, such as the highest cities in Puno and Cusco, and poorer areas of Lima.
Offering tours to off the beaten track areas not visited on the tourist trail enriches not only customer experience supports the local community, keeping areas true to their roots and helping to enrich the culture and history. Meeting the local communities on the floating islands of Lake Titicaca for example, is a way to meet the real people away from tourist trap areas, leading to a better way of life for the locals, whilst offering customers a real insight in to this unusual way of life.
At home we also strive to support local businesses, charities and the community. We use a local catering company for fresh, healthy lunches in our Brighton office everyday, use a local recycling company for all our waste, use small independent companies for work events such as the summer party where we took an African drumming lesson in a local church hall and offer all our staff a day out of the office to volunteer at the charity of their choice.

1 Reviews of Peru in 11 day itinerary
Reviewed on 05 Feb 2018 by Sally Sheppard
1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your vacation?
Walking the shortened Inca Trail. Staying at the station platform hotel in Ollantaytambo- fab accommodation and exquisite food- one of the best meals we have ever had; both evening meal and breakfast were fantastic. The boutique hotel we stayed in (Hotel Encantada, Cusco) was also fantastic - a great location overlooking Cusco, and within easy walking distance of Sascayhuman Inca citadel in Cusco as well as easy walking distance to the old town of Cusco.
2. What tips would you give other travelers booking this vacation?
Talk to Ross from our tour company, he is excellent at listening to your dreams and making them reality! Fantastic attention to detail too..thanks so much Ross.
3. Did you feel that your vacation benefited local people, reduced environmental impacts or supported conservation?
Yes definitely, we had a laugh in a Tuk-Tuk in Urabamba, had lunch in a Inca Courtyard in Ollantaytambo in a traditional Inca settlement, which has been continuously inhabited since Inca times, were given a great tour of the backstreets and local highlights of Lima.
4. Finally, how would you rate your vacation overall?
Amazing experience, thanks to the great team that Ross has found in Peru. thank you very much indeed
