Description of China to Tibet by train, Chengdu to Lhasa
This trip can be tailor made throughout the year to suit your requirements
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
PlanetTraveling responsibly is one of our primary goals as a Tibet local tour company. Throughout the tour, we stress the concept of eco-travel. As Tibet is home to numerous wildlife (such as Tibetan antelope, black-necked cranes, and snow leopards, blood pheasants, etc.), we would kindly remind tourists not to buy fur and dead body of any wildlife. When we travel to holy lakes like Namtso, never venture into or disturb the fragile natural habitat of wild animals at lakeside because if the damage is done, the bad result would be irreversible.
We also organize small group tour with no more than 10 tour members and try to minimize the side effect of modern tourism done to the environment. As we travel in the wilderness, we prepare special bags to collect touristsí waste and prefer to stay in home-run hostels (in EBC) that use power panels and yak dungs as the major source of energy supply. We encourage tourists who do trekking or mountain climbing in Mt. Everest region to collect human garage found in the wilderness and later to bring it back for proper disposal. For this, they will be awarded with a small amount of money.
PeopleWe understands how ecotourism can bring tangle benefit to the economy of local communities and Tibetan people in Tibet. We do organize tours to visit the handcrafts workshop in Lhasa and watch how Tangka (A Tibetan Buddhist painting on cotton, or silk, usually depicting a Buddhist deity, scene, or mandala.) is made according to visitorís interests. Tourists can learn how such skill passes down from one generation to another and buy their favorite Tangka as a souvenir in Tibet tour.
As a local tour company of Tibet, we prefers to hire excellent local tour guides and offers routine on-the-job training classes to all the staff involved in the tourism industry. From the Tibetan customer service manager down to the waitresses or tour vehicle drivers, they can benefit from a series of informative and inspirational lectures. Tibet Vista also teams up with local orphanages in Lhasa to provide donation from tourists and help for the homeless children.
