Our organization was built up upon our work with rural communities and with the strong desire to work in conservation and education of its inhabitants. Therefore our team is fully committed to support sustainable practices at all times, selecting local partners and practices such as use of biodegradable products in our facilities, implementation of recycling and compositing systems on site and related projects as well as the promotion of renewable energy systems and rain water collection.

We kindly ask our guests to save water and electricity at all times and avoid additional garbage and plastic all very important issues in this country.

We organize beach clean ups on a regular basis and our team initiated the Environmental Kids Club where we work on a daily basis with future generations to build up their environmental consciousness.

We also choose our providers according to their environmental commitment as well as analyzing their efforts regarding their social responsibility.

People

This tour includes two nights homestay with a local family which gives them a direct financial support but also a very important intercultural experience on both sides. On site our supporting staff is locally hired and with social security benefits and we invest in their ongoing training. We also offer locally operated tours with fair prices for our travelers.

Within the community we initiated the safety community committee where we support specific projects for a clean and safe environment. Within our project work we visit local public schools and enrich their curriculum with environmental topics or workshops on specific topics such as bullying, intercultural differences, health, etc. Selected tours support the local economy e.g. visiting the indigenous community, promoting fair trade articles to buy directly from the Artesanian or local organic chocolate producer, etc.
