Responsible Travel
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.

We do our best to preserve our cultural heritage. During this small group guided tour we will visit the unique Acropolis Hill in Athens and the stunning Ancient Messini in Messinia. These popular places have a great historic importance and concern the whole world so we recommend our visitors to follow our motto "Respect our cultural heritage". We will also provide them some written practical advices to help them protect the archeological environment we will visit. This is extremely important for us due to over tourism in these historical sites and we always give our best to keep the site clean. In this tour you will visit the Southern Greece and its beautiful capital, Kalamata. The Blue Flag beach of Kalamata is 2.5 km from the city center but the hotel where you are going to stay, is located in front of the sea. Here you can feel free to go to the beach and enjoy a swim in the crystal waters of the Messinian Bay. This is a great opportunity for them to show their respect to the coastal environment, so we recommend visitors not to take with them pebbles and shells and not to throw garbage on the coast.
We also suggest them to say no to plastic bags, so we present them with a beautiful fabric bag as a gift. They can use the eco bag during the tour to put their water and souvenirs in. At the end of the tour, they can take the bag home as a remembrance of the journey.
In addition, we want to avoid the purchase of plastic bottles on the trip. We suggest to our visitors to bring their own water bottles. Whenever possible, they can drink water coming from water springs or from the village taps, depending on the water safety.
Tourism has the capacity to have a great impact on the whole planet and on the environment as well. Our goal is to make this impact as positive as possible!
People
The philosophy behind our trips one motto: We Care, We Share, We Love. That means that all our tours and our customer services are focused on our visitors, the locals and their culture, on nature and the environment.
That's the reason why we choose family taverns and restaurants, where the local owners cook with goods from the agricultural and livestock production of their region.
On this tour, you will visit:
- a family tavern in the region of Ancient Messina
- Jimmy's souvlaki corner, where a local inhabitant, makes the most famous handmade souvlaki of Kalamata.
- Mr George’s shop, the best bakery and pastry shop in town, a "must" for breakfast and sweets, which are made from the freshest ingredients. If we are lucky, we will meet the owner who lives there from his childhood.
- an olive grove and an olive oil mill, where our friend Dimitra, the owner, proud of her olive trees will show us everything about the production.
We care about all the Peloponnesian communities and we recommend local handicraft shops to our travelers, so that their vacation spendings contribute to the economic development of the region.
We always try to share with our guests the information needed so that they can understand the communities we visit together and create valuable opportunities for them to mingle and exchange thoughts and experiences.
We always advise our guests to interact with the local people, get involved in their traditional feasts, taste delicacies from small stores, buy desserts and bread from local bakeries.
This is the way to be a traveler! This is the right way to travel!
