Responsible tourism
As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we screen every trip so you can travel knowing your vacation will help support conservation and local people.

As this is a 'cruise' vacation, polluting the waters is brought out to zero since on our Yacht we implement a save the waves policy which means that simply no one is allowed to throw anything overboard by crew or guests while on cruise. All the waste such a food waste is kept on Board and brought back home on mainland for recycling.
There is also a yacht log book for fuel and oil waste which is updated daily on Yacht and controlled on monthly base by official Port harbor master. In order to minimize any negative environmental impact, our Yacht uses an extra clean Euro Class fuel with minimum emission set up by newest EURO 4 European standards directives.
In regards Accommodation - our boutique style villas have environmentally responsible practices in place such as water/energy saving initiatives, recycling methods, such as: using our own water since it is collected from a natural source - rain, therefore we have special filters for making this water drinkable and for guests use as well. On all of our Boutique Villas we have special solar panels on the roof for water heating and heating at winter months as well.
By booking this trip you get to see a whole new perspective of this beautiful part of Croatian Islands by sailing on our yacht, visiting completely secluded and deserted bays on our itinerary, mostly known only to our local island people. Kayaking and snorkeling on the hidden and best-preserved parts of the clearest sea in Europe, guests are given the chance to explore in a ways which are least harmful to the environment.
A visit to National Park Mljet island sea Lakes and park of Nature Lastovo Island is included in the program - the fees that we pay to the National Park contribute to the conservation of that area.
In our office, we minimize printing actions and recycle paper. Most of all, we ensure that negative environmental impacts are drawn to a minimum.
The Impacts of this Trip
By booking this trip you bring much-needed income to the people who are still recovering from the war-torn years, as this was the area severely affected by war, especially Dubrovnik old city, Lastovo and Vis islands that were a military base in the Ex Yugoslav Republic.
This trip ensures that the local people benefit as much as possible in the form of jobs (we employ local guides and drivers only) and provision of accommodation (we use our own family-owned Captain's Villa). We also use our own transfer services, buy food from the small farms and work on developing responsible waste management by stimulating waste recycle.
By buying local products you are supporting this countries’ economy and helping Croatia to stand on her feet again! We consider it our responsibility to lead efforts to maintain and preserve the integrity of this fledgling sector by petitioning the introduction of tighter controls over the use of the country’s natural resources.
Captain's Villa is our small family run hotel that employs local people and in that way is irreplaceable in the community. Our hosts in the small family restaurant prepare breakfast, lunches and the farewell dinner with our own home grown food and fish from our own pond.
