As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) vacation so that you can travel knowing it will help support the places and people that you visit, and the planet. Read how below.
PlanetAt your arrival here you will be given a Travelers Code of Conduct, where you will get informed about how to apply maximum responsibility during your vacations concerning environmental and socio-cultural factors, aiming to have as less as possible negative impact on the environment. Some guidelines are: to switch off the lights when you leave your rooms and turn off the equipment that is not being used. Water is also important so you are advised to try not to waste it, try to recycle anything that can be re-used, use other ways instead of the regular plastic bags and in general respect the surroundings avoiding littering the place unnecessarily.
We are also owners of the small city hotel that you will stay during your vacations here where we recycle paper, glass, plastic and metal.
PeopleChoosing our vacations, you choose responsible vacations. As Mr Panagiotopoulos, founder and president of our company, was born and raised here, one of his biggest concerns is to secure that tourism will not affect negatively our area in ecological and socio-cultural way, and also that the locals will mostly benefit from your travel.
We advise our travelers to do all their shopping from local shops and try to buy local products so in that way you keep the traditions alive.
Our company which is the organizer and operator of this package is locally-based and all our guides, drivers and employees are locals too, ensuring not only the economical benefit of our area but also your cultural benefit.
On this trip, you will visit so many different places and you will always be surrounded by locals, experiencing the Greek way of living. But the most important thing for us, is that your presence here gives us a strong negotiation card for pressing the local authorities for the development of our area, such us constructing cycling streets in our city or finance and organize better our archaeological museums and sites.
During our visit to the archaeological sites if its a close distance we propose not to use the car. Also, we have made our guests aware of the regulation in advance. For example, we advise them to shoot as many photos as they like but not to throw objects at the surrounding area or touch and sit in the monuments.
